That cowardly lying John “Okinawa Abscam” Murtha just stepped in it again. Look here:

Murtha accused of rules violation

Rep. John P. Murtha (D-Pa.) threatened to deny any further spending projects to a Republican who challenged him over an earmark last week, the GOP is charging – a potential violation of House rules that could cause a spike in partisan tensions.

Rules? Murtha doesn’t worry about any rules, he breaks them at will, google Abscam Murtha for more. He also has no qualms about betraying the soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan as well as slandering the generals. Not content with doing that damage to our country he decides that while being in the “most ethical congress ever” he is going to break the rules there, after all his constiuents continually re-elect him regardless of his actions.

‘The way I do it’

According to the draft resolution, Murtha shouted at and chastised Rogers on the House floor Thursday for offering a motion last week to challenge $23 million Murtha requested in an intelligence bill.

Murtha had requested the money to prevent the administration from shuttering the National Drug Intelligence Center in Johnstown, Pa., which is part of Murtha’s district.

“I hope you don’t have any earmarks in the defense appropriations bills because they are gone, and you will not get any earmarks now and forever,” Murtha told Rogers, according to the draft transcript given to The Politico.

“This is not the way we do things here – and is that supposed to make me afraid of you?” Rogers replied.

“That’s the way I do it,” Murtha said.

See Murtha wants to add “bully” to the list of names that he answers too. It’s not enough that treasonous, imbecile, criminal are nicknames for him now he wants more. Rogers was trying to get some of Murtha’s pork out of a bill, pork to be used for an underperforming Drug Intelligence center in his district. Now while some might think that Murtha uses too much drugs while having not enough intelligence, he’s betting he’s bulletproof and can do anything. He tried to threaten and bully Rogers into voting for the pork by threatening to cancel and vote against anything Rogers wants to do. It’s nice to see the minority Republicans not lay down here:

In a statement calling the confrontation a “flagrant [incident] of intimidation,” House Minority Leader John A. Boehner (R-Ohio) said, “This egregious action is not only beneath the dignity of this institution, it constitutes a violation of House rules, which preclude members from conditioning earmarks on another member’s vote, and the House should reprimand Murtha for his conduct.”

Now let’s face it, the press won’t say much if anything about this and the Dem’s probably have the votes to stop any reprimand but that doesn’t make any of this right. The folks in Murtha’s district need to vote this guy out of office. People like him and Specter make our state look horrid.
