Christianity went through it's militant/violent phase also but it was over in a couple of hundred years and during the time the whole world was a violent place. However, Islam has not outgrown it's savage beginnings even as the world around it has grown up. It is something that definitely bears watching. Not the people, but the religion. Everyone tells me it's a religion of peace, but I'm beginning to fear it because it's becoming as un-islam-like as the Spanish Inquisition was un-christian-like.
