Today’s cup of STFU goes to….

Cup of STFUThe tea drinking British University system. Seems they are going to “reccomend a boycott” anything Israeli due to the “occupation of Palestine”.

UK lecturers support Israel boycott call

Union passes motion calling on members to ‘consider the moral implications of links with Israeli academic institutions;’ Israeli academic: The people behind this motion are working for forces of evil

Latest Update: 05.30.07, 20:40 / Israel News

Britain’s University and College Union (UCU), comprising of university academics, voted in favor of considering a boycott of Israeli academics and institutions at its conference in Bournemouth on Thursday evening.

British-Jewish academic, speaking before boycott vote, says ‘there’s something in the air in the UK, boycott will lead to anti-Semitism’
Full Story
The resolution, passed by 158 votes in favor and 99 against, “notes that Israel’s 40-year occupation has seriously damaged the fabric of Palestinian society through annexation, illegal settlement, collective punishment and restriction of movement… deplores the denial of educational rights for Palestinians by invasions, closures, checkpoints, curfews, and shootings and arrests of teachers, lecturers and students.”

Um, does anyone else see some stupidity here? Let’s take a look at some things.

  • The main country responsible for the RE-creation of Israel (please notice it wasn’t the creation of Israel, rather the granting of the land back for a reformation of the state) was um Britain!
  • Collective punishment? Perhaps but aren’t even the children of the pali-animals taught to hate Israel and want Jews dead? Perhaps since it’s even the women and children bearing weapons against Israel “collective punishment” might be deserved?
  • Restriction of movement? Seriously get a grip, if no Palestinians were walking around Jewish towns with bombs strapped to them maybe movement wouldn’t be restricted?
  • Arrest of teachers? Are these the same teachers using Mickey Mouse looking characters to teach children to hate Jews? On second thought, you’re right they should protest the arrest of these teachers. They shouldn’t be arrested, they should be shot for teaching hate to children.

Now, lets bear this in mind, it’s not an actual boycott, YET, but rather a “reccomendation” to “consulate with members” on whether or not to boycott Israeli academics. There are some words of wisdom coming out of all this, but not from the British side of course *emphasis below is mine*:

Responding to the resolution, Professor Menachem Kellner, Professor of Jewish Thought at Haifa University, said: “I’m deeply disappointed by the failure of truth and justice at this vote.” “I don’t think such a boycott will seriously impact Israeli academia, but I treat it with seriousness because it will affect Jewish organizations abroad,” Kellner added. “The people who organized this boycott are working for the forces of evil. They not working for Palestinians, they are working against Israel,” Kellner declared, adding:

“If there was something there that would actually help Palestinians, I would say they are honest but dumb. But this is just an attempt to defame and delegitimize Israel.”

“This is a sad day for British academia. The boycott resolution is a badge of dishonor,” Kellner said.
I for one am hoping that the Brit’s wise up. Their government has been a staunch ally in the war on terror and it would be a shame to see a swing in their stance start within some of the oldest and most prestigious universities in the world. For all those who voted against decency and civilization…this cups for you.

The islamification of Europe continues

Saw this over at Hotair.com and this over at Blonde Sagacity and had to comment on it some.

Teachers drop the Holocaust to avoid offending Muslims

Ok the headline alone is enough to make me want to scream but let’s look at some of the article, perhaps it isn’t what I think it is.

Schools are dropping the Holocaust from history lessons to avoid offending Muslim pupils, a Governmentbacked study has revealed.

It found some teachers are reluctant to cover the atrocity for fear of upsetting students whose beliefs include Holocaust denial.

Nope, it’s exactly what I thought it was, Dhimmitude. Once again the cultisists of the molester Mohammed are utilizing our own political correctness against us to be better able to enslave us.

The findings have prompted claims that some schools are using history ‘as a vehicle for promoting political correctness’.

Not only are they doing that, but they are allowing the mosques to rewrite history, look here.

There is also resistance to tackling the 11th century Crusades – where Christians fought Muslim armies for control of Jerusalem – because lessons often contradict what is taught in local mosques.

Are their prime example of “Christian” barbarism during those crusades? Sure is. Are their examples where the viewpoints of Muslims might differ with western civilization as to the reasons for those crusades? Absolutely. Is that a reason to not teach about it? Hell no. What we have here is a surrender by omission to the youths in the mosques. By not teaching the western viewpoints on what happened during those years, we allow the mosques to teach a very one sided viewpoint.

“But the same department deliberately avoided teaching the Crusades at Key Stage 3 (11- to 14-year-olds) because their balanced treatment of the topic would have challenged what was taught in some local mosques.”

We can presume what that viewpoint is, but since mosque teachings are anything but transparent we can’t really know for sure what’s being taught. This can lead to some very negative thought processes on the youth there, causing an unwillingness to assimilate into western culture and furthering the divide aka increasing the islamification or shariafication of Europe. We’ve seen just how large that divide is recently by not only the French riots of a couple of years ago, but the sheer volume of “homegrown” terror cells in European countries.

What could be the motivation or reason that teachers in England are doing this?

The report said teachers feared confronting ‘anti-Semitic sentiment and Holocaust denial among some Muslim pupils’.

Fear, pure and simple fear. What’s important to think about here, is where is this fear coming from, what are we talking about here? Is it simply the fear to disagree with a student, or rather is it the fear that this disagreement could result in violence being done to the teacher because they stood their ground on history? Could it be all of the violence that is inflicted upon ANY who stand up to the virulent plague that is Islam? Theo Van Gogh anyone? Rushdie? al Hirsi? At what point do we stand up to the ideological school yard bully and say “No More”. They’ve already changed the “3 little pigs” to the “3 little puppies”, now parts of history aren’t to be taught? What’s next, Santa Claus is actually Achmed Claus or the tooth fairy is now Akbar Fairys must die? Seriously at what point are we going to draw a line in the sand and stop the systematic destruction of our culture, when is Europe going to do that?

France/Al-Qaeda update

On Feb. 15th I posted about France working against being hit by Al-Qaeda, I speculated that they were worried about a terrorist attack affecting their elections i.e. Spain.

Al-Qaeda trying to influence a European election? Anyone remember Spain? Perhaps the 11 people arrested weren’t recruiting for Iraq but rather for attacks in France? Seriously, isn’t the only reason there is terrorism in the war in Iraq and Bush right?

Well this morning I came across this article over at ThreatsWatch.org (excellent site, check it out). and saw that I was pretty much on target.

Current French Presidential Election Threat

Recent reports have suggested that France may face a possible threat during its presidential elections straddling April and May 2007. The French Le Monde and London-based Al-Hayat newspapers reported secret French intelligence memos, one of which addressed “planning, from the Middle East, of a wave of suicide attacks against a European country not identified, anywhere between September 2006 and April 2007.” In Jamestown’s Terrorism Focus, Kathryn Haahr wrote that “a multiplicity of indicators-threatening letters on websites close to al-Qaeda, an alleged letter from bin Laden encouraging Salafi-Jihadi groups to attack France and the arrests of various jihadis in France-suggest an attack is likely.”

I have to admit, I’m a rank amateur so when I guess at something and experts like those at ThreatsWatch come out with the same stuff I feel pretty darn good! Of course, being experts there they breakdown some of the threats against other European nations. It’s a great read and something we all need to read. We don’t have the same issues here in America but if we keep pandering to CAIR and other groups we could be in the same boat very soon.

Update on the Mohammed/Allah cartoons in France

1st post this week, been on the road all week for work and the schedule isn’t going to get better. Saw an update on the French paper I wrote about back on 2-13 here. Back then I wrote:

The verdict, whatever it may be, bears watching. Not only for the precedent it could set in Europe but for Islam’s response to it. It also remains to be seen if it will get any play in the American MSM, I doubt the media here will say anything, they’ve already surrendered to the cultists of islam but it would be a good to see some outlet here with some cahones. Oh yeah, and as a final word, here’s one of my favorites from the “offensive cartoons“

So today I see this:

CARTOONS ROW: MUSLIM GROUP TO APPEAL ACQUITTAL OF SATIRICAL WEEKLY’S EDITOR

Seems the editor got acquitted, and now the jihadists are going to sue yet again to limit freedom of expression.

Paris, 22 March (AKI) – France’s largest Muslim organisation, the conservative Union of French Islamic Organisations (UOIF) on Thursday vowed to appeal a verdict by a Paris court acquitting satirical French weekly Charlie Hebdo’s editor of insulting Muslims by reprinting caricatures of the Prophet Mohammed. “We do not understand a ruling that describes one of the cartoons as shocking but says this is freedom of expression,” said UOIF president, Lhaj Thami Breze in a statement.

Got news for ya there Achmed, “freedom of expression” is sometimes shocking. It’s not “freedom of boring expression”, it’s freedom of expression. Meaning you get to say what you want!

The trial was seen as an important test for freedom of expression in France and applause broke out in the courtroom when the verdict was read out. It ruled that the Danish cartoons republished by the weekly in February 2006 were not insulting to the Muslim community. The cartoons were covered by freedom of expression laws and were not an attack on Islam, but on fundamentalists, it said.

Whether it was insulting or not it doesn’t matter, it’s still freedom of expression. It’s a good thing that the editor, Charlie Hebdo, didn’t get convicted and that there is some semblance of sanity in France. Two of the leading candidates for President in France came out in defense of Hebdo also.

Charlie Hebdo in February surprised the court with a letter of support from Sarkozy. “I prefer an excess of caricatures to an absence of caricatures,” he wrote. Although he has often been the butt of Charlie Hebdo’s humour, Sarkozy said he backed “the right to smile at everything.”
Socialist Party president Francois Holland and centrist Union for French Democracy (UDF) leader Francois Bayrou – another rising presidential candidate – also made depositions to the court defending Charlie Hebdo. The weekly called more than a dozen politicians and witnesses at the trial.

While I don’t know eithers political leanings or even whether or not they will be friends of America, I think it’s a good thing that they are defending basic freedom of expression.

Here’s a politician we can be proud of

It’s not too often that I’ll say there’s a politician to be proud of. I normally think they just come in different shades of bad. However, there is one man in the Dutch Parliament who is taking such a strong stand against the Islamic facists that I can’t help but be proud of him. His name is Geert Wilders. Here’s an article on him in AdnKronos international, lets take a look at it shall we?

Right wing anti-immigration Dutch MP Geert Wilders has signalled he has no intention of apologising to Saudi Arabia over recent remarks he made criticising the Koran. Saudi Arabian newspaper al-Watan reported the Saudi embassy in The Hague had demanded that Wilders recant and apologise for his comments last week that Muslims should “tear out half the Koran” if they wanted to live in the Netherlands, and that the Muslim holy book “contains plenty of terrible things.”

Amen brother! That cult primer book is full of horrific things and is the manifesto of a child molesting man who is a “prophet” to a band of thugs and murderers. He goes on to say this:

“Have they gone completely mad? It is scandalous that a country which does not have freedom of speech teaches me a lesson. They must learn you are a parliamentarian here, you may say what you want,” he added.

Finally someone is calling out the Islamic governments. How dare they criticize, condemn, threaten any person in another countries right to free will, speech, or beliefs? To allow that to happen would be to waste the lives of the millions of men and women who have fought for those rights and freedoms over the centuries in a myriad of counties! Wilders is 100% right to stand up and say “No More”, to call Islam out on the carpet, no religion nor government should be above the rights of freedom that are inherently our birthright regardless of what country you are from.

Wilders plans to send outgoing foreign minister Ben Bot a letter requesting that he defend freedom of speech and “give the Saudi ambassador a lesson” in parliamentary democracy. Bot stated last week that he regretted Wilders’ comments – which were reported in the Moroccan and Pakistani media – saying he did not think they would enhance the Netherlands’ reputation abroad.

I for one doubt that Bot will do so, but I’ll hold out hope. The Netherlands have been on the front line defending freedom and rights, not with troops but with their actions of thier citizens i.e. Theo Van Gogh and the Mohammed cartoons. I’m hoping that they do not get tired of carrying freedoms torch against the darkness of Islam before we pick it up ourselves.
